We are all Wonder Women

Updated: Sep 19, 2019

Ten thousand followers. I could pretend like I don’t care, like I didn’t notice it approaching, but I do and I did.

And I’m grateful.

Grateful for each and every one of you.

I talk about a lot of things in this space and maybe that’s not very savvy (what’s my niche?!), but I know when I heard Glenn Close’s Golden Globes acceptance speech, I thought to myself “That’s it. That is what I want to keep talking about.”

For me, fitness has been a huge piece of the puzzle in finding some personal fulfilment in my life, but there are many other pieces too, and I know you have your own.

I hope to encourage you daily to pursue those things. To prioritise yourself, and to believe in your self-worth.

We are all Wonder Women.

"I'm thinking [of] my mom, who really sublimated herself to my father her whole life and in her '80s she said to me, 'I feel like I haven't accomplished anything.' It was so not right. I feel what I've learned through this whole experience is that women, we're nurturers. That's what expected of us. We have our children. We have our husbands — if we're lucky enough — and our partners, whoever. But we have to find personal fulfillment. We have to follow our dreams. We have to say, 'I can do that and I should be allowed to do that'.” – Glenn Close, 2019 Golden Globes

Anyway, thanks for being here.
